Aerofoil shape in the main sail

Postby Paul r talbot » July 11th, 2016, 8:48 am

Could someone elaborate on how to create the aerofoil shape in the mainsail ? I am having some difficulty understanding the instructions. Thanks

Hi Paul
Welcome aboard
I make the 7 panel sails and basically the idea is to not stick the sail overlap perfectly straight, but to narrow the join at the 1/3 of the length point from the mast by 1/2 mm.
Have a look at this thread

Ps; some photo of your boat would be nice.........
